Although we were planning on meeting up this weekend, I'm cancelling due to Jackie losing her father this week.
I don't think anyone would expect Assif to be anywhere but by his wife's side at this time.
You would think that, sure. But I had a long chat about this last night and Jackie thinks I should go ahead with the weekend. She is going to be occupied at her mums - her aunties are there. The twins are away at camp. And Yousef will go with Jackie.
Yes. I am Sure. But if you want to cancel then .... Just kidding. I think I will have to do some prep before the weekend though. Update character etc. And I don't know how much time I'll have. But I'll do my best. I guess we are starting midday Saturday as usual? So Scott and I will drive up early on Sat I guess. No snow forecast so we should be good.
I'm happy to play if Assif is... But are you absolutely sure? Given the location you'll be out of telephone signal if anything does come up and it doesn't sound like much fun for Yousef...
Would it help if (without meaning to invite us all over) we played at your place? You'd contactable and in range if anything does come up and Yousef wouldn't have to be there through all that?
Just a thought... I can flexible and happy enough to drive to and from St Albans both days if that makes things easier for you?
That is a good point. It is very isolated. I'm not sure it would work at mine - I don't think Jackie will be out of the house all of the weekend - just probably some of the day, and maybe Sat evening. The twins are back Sunday afternoon - probably 2ish so that is a bit of an early cutoff. I'm going to have to think about it ...

One of the reasons I set this up was so I could repay the hospitality of others.
