A Blind Ali'

Nite' felt a moments guilt leaving the talkative sack behind, but then the thrill of leaping from roof to roof in the cool nights air left no room for remorse.
Tonight would be the last time for a while that he would be heading for the thieves den, he was sure that this time he would make it in un-noticed.
That first night he'd been so sure of himself, dis-armed all the traps and avoided all the watchers; or so he'd thought. All but little Alison, blind since birth but with hearing that could pin point the type of coin dropped in a crowded tavern. For the past few days Nite' had been honing his talents; he would never be the best at anyone thing in a guild but he could tumble better than any climber, climb better than any pick pocket and move more silently than any listener. But could he move more silently than any listener could hear....
He landed off to the side in the shadows, she waved and tossed him a candy laughing.
One blind Ali' he could never avoid.

His training had gone well, by helping out on a few jobs he had come out with around the same gold as he started. Minus the 50gold he had slipped to the cooks where Marlon was staying - boy was growing fast and needed feeding and the 50gold in tips he had secretly paid for Sereena -she did move well...
He hoped tonight that his other business could be concluded, he'd asked the quartre-master for several spools of fine wire that could be staked out and linked to an alarm.
He'd also scored himself some high quality leather armour and another ring which supposedly helped protect the wearer. If all was sorted he would feel safer but poorer by 3160gold.
Maybe the sack was right he needed to get back out there and acquire...
He'd go talk to Volkon and Bastien see if they were up for another lil adventure......

  2. Hey so I dont know the cost of living in Fissa; maybe it was for sheets that are lice free or for the bouncer to be more vigilant.
Also smutt face it was 'secretly' paid not a 'secret' dance.....:-)

  3. No need for generosity.
Marlon's fee covered food and lodgings as well as training and equipment hire.
Sereena does just fine with the dancing. The drunker the punter, the better the tips.
Make it 10gp each and keep the rest.
All three of you will need to keep some funds back (50gp approx) for your own food and board.
    :)
