Hidden in plain sight

After sitting crossed legged and silent for weeks, Soffic, the grey elf‘s steely, almond-shaped eyes blink open.
“They’ve succeeded!”
The diminutive gnome, Sagassos nearly falls off the chair he’d been reclining in but still spits out his pipe.
“Are you sure? You’ve barely eaten or drunk anything since they left. Might you be just hallucinating?”
The gaunt grey elf ignores the question.
“Fetch the Abbot. He’ll want to know that Thereanthor’s skull has been destroyed and that his priest is still alive.”
After a few minutes, Sagassos returns with Abbot Elphic in tow.
“Is it true?”, wheezes the elderly, wide eyed cleric.
The ancient grey elf nods in affirmation, but his expression is disturbingly grave.
“True; yes, but their quest is far from over. The secret I’d hoped lost forever, has been discovered…The enemy have learned the location of the dragon’s daughter!”
Colour drains from the gnome’s, previously ruddy cheeks.
“But... But they’re so far away! How will they get to Fewham in time to save her?”

  2. Scott's being oddly silent. I thought he'd be squeeeing at this meta reveal!

    Maybe he's still in Dubai?

  4. Ah, the folly of youth.
Frankly I can't concentrate on anything now for more than twenty minutes.

  5. Sorry... Hectic first week back at work. Press ganged into meetings in Germany so I effectively lost two days. Reviewing everything now though...!

  6. There once was a dragon's daughter in Fewham.
With secrets aplenty but no one knew 'em.
Then, at last, she was found.
Into danger the party are bound.
It's up to us again? Ah, screw 'em.

  7. Assif commented that I'd 'stolen' loads of stuff created by Dag and Sven but didn't mention the things I'd stolen from you (Scott).
    :)
