Lying in the soft feather bed in the chambers
behind the main church, Lugdum carefully peels back the blood-stained sheet covering his
chest.
He’d cleaned the wound and it’s healing
well but he’d still have to be careful for a day or two.
Provoking three of those skeletons
simultaneously had been a mistake.
They were harder to hurt than he’d thought.
Still, there are only a few left now and
next time, he wouldn’t throw his magical axe ‘Blood Pelter’ without having a
back-up weapon.
Lying back, the orc wonders how many days
he’ll have to wait before the Pelor priests arrive and he can rejoin his clan
brothers for drinks and glory.
Maybe he should finish the skeletons off tomorrow?
His wounds would be mostly healed by then…
