How Big can I get?

While happily doodling up bigger and bigger maps, I suddenly realised that I'm limited to not just the size of the kitchen table but by Scott's wipeable rectangular play mat.

Each map square represents a five feet by five feet area is an inch across.

How big is the entire mat though?

Answers now may help prevent near future DM embarrassment.

  1. I believe it is 26 * 23 inches, but not sure exactly what that is in numbers of squares per side.

But I'd argue the only real limitation is our imagination... If you want each square to represent 10' instead of 5' just say so!

  2. Probably 25' x 22 to incluse a half-inch boarder all the way around.
    You lateral thinking genius!
    Thanks.
