The inept but optimistic Marlon’s been
attending the combat school for several weeks now and his sorceress friend Sereena’s
taken to meeting him for lunch.
After watching Marlon get beaten on by the
other students for about an hour, Sereena sighs at her ferret familiar, opens
up her satchel and unpacks a light lunch.
She was going to share it with her
meat-headed friend but by the look of his apoplectic, purple faced instructor,
he won’t be getting a break anytime soon.
‘No matter Wrony; it just means there’s more
for you and me.’
She smiles down at poor Marlon from the
stands.
All that effort, just to get marginally
better at hiting things.
Unlike pure human Wizards, Sereena doesn’t
need practice to improve. She felt her power grow unbidden back on Squamata,
just as she felt her fragile heart blacken in response.
When she stills her mind, she can sense her
dragon ancestor clawing up at her soft, human flesh, day by day.
Calling for gold and demanding glory and
power.
She knows she should resist but the draconic
urges are just too strong.
So are these Draconic urges 'artistic licence' or is there something in the games history that I dont know.
ReplyDeleteNice use of apoplectic :)
Artistic licence.
ReplyDelete:)
Yeah - don't trust her. ;)
ReplyDeleteWait - "demanding gold and power" ... she'll fit in very well!
Actually, she's just True Neutral. Her Black Dragon heritage is just an excuse for her innate selfishness.
ReplyDeleteI think poor, dumb Marlon is the only actually good member of your party!
